Start-finish victory for Johannes Thingnes Bø

Johannes Thingnes Bø (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) was also in a class of his own in the pursuit race and won despite his three shooting mistakes. Quentin Fillon Maillet (FRA, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) finished third. Laura Dahlmeier (GER, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) took second place.

Johannes Thingnes Bø is in his own world in Anterselva - which is partly due to his strong form, but also because he apparently has the least problems with the high altitude. The Norwegian adapted his sprint experience better than anybody else and wore a GPS transmitter to help his team-mates in the analysis in preparation for the World Championships in Anterselva in one year. "It was a good race, I was skiing at my own pace. I like such fast conditions, I always accelerated at the beginning of the lap and at the end I recovered," said Bø. His biggest rivals this weekend come from France and took the places two to five. Quentin Fillon Maillet was third on the podium. Alexander Loginov (RUS, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) improved from 26 to 7 with the best isolated pursuit time. Lars Helge Birkeland (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) finished tenth.

In the ladies' race Laura Dahlmeier celebrated second place. The German was the only one in the Top15 with only one penalty, which was the basis for the podium. Together with Lisa Vittozzi (ITA) she went to the final lap and fought for second place. In an attack just outside the stadium, she was able to leave the Italian behind and was happy after her collapse after the sprint. "I'm feeling better now. It was a nice race and I'm really happy about the podium. It's a step forward, but Doro [Wierer (ITA)] was no longer catchable. But I am glad that I could leave Lisa behind." Anastasiya Kuzmina (SVK, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) came in fifth after four penalties ahead of Lisa Theresa Hauser (AUT, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) and Kaisa Mäkäräinen (FIN, Fischer skis, bindings and boots). Irina Kryuko (BLR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) and Lena Häcki (SUI, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) finished eighth and ninth.
