The Alpine Race Athletes made it a bright ski winter

This winter the Fischer Race Family again produced an impressive performance with excellent results in the Alpine Ski World Cup. Over a total of 66 races for men and women the final tally of six wins and 17 podiums gave cause for celebration. And this number would almost certainly have increased if the coronavirus outbreak had not ended the season prematurely.

Although the season came to an unexpectedly abrupt end, for reasons we’ve come to know all too well, there was one clear element of continuity: the success of the Fischer Race Family goes on. Fillon Maillet runner-up, Bø wins overall World Cup

Two big names said goodbye to the biathlon World Cup today: Martin Fourcade (FRA) and Kaisa Mäkäräinen (FIN, Fischer ***). For both it was a successful farewell with a win in the pursuit for the Frenchman ahead of Quentin Fillon Maillet (FRA, Fischer ***). The Finn narrowly missed the podium in her last race. Johannes Thingnes Bø (NOR, Fischer ***) won the overall World Cup.

Denise Herrmann wins last sprint and small crystal globe

Denise Herrmann (GER, Fischer ***) won the last sprint of the season - and possibly also the last race of the season. It has not yet been finally decided whether the season will end prematurely. At least the mixed relay on Sunday will be canceled. With her sprint victory ahead of Franziska Preuß (GER, Fischer ***) she also won the Sprint World Cup.

Johannes Thingnes Bø wins last sprint

Johannes Thingnes Bø (NOR, Fischer ***) celebrated his tenth win of the season in the sprint in Kontiolahti (FIN). Before the last individual race with the pursuit, he leads 21 points ahead of Martin Fourcade (FRA) in the overall World Cup.
