INNOVATIVE SPIRIT DRIVES FISCHER FORWARD

2017

In the constant search for further innovations, the ski-binding system concept is increasingly becoming more important, especially in the Nordic segment. The call for independence from competitors continues to become louder and louder. Fischer develops its own binding so it can control every single part of the overall system and actively shape the future of Nordic skiing. With the 17l18 collection, newly developed bindings and cross-country boot soles are introduced to the market under the TURNAMIC® brand. Rossignol is brought on board as a partner to achieve the necessary market breakthrough right from the start. The new TURNAMIC® soles and bindings are compatible with the globally established NNN® sole profile.

The most convincing argument for the new TURNAMIC® set-up is its simplicity. Thanks to the innovative Turn Lock lever, getting in and out is easier than ever before. TURNAMIC® also impresses with its ease of assembly. In addition, TURNAMIC® offers the option of tool-free adjustability across the entire model range. TURNAMIC® starts by dominating the Nordic World Cup as the most successful binding brand in its debut year.

In June 2018, Fischer grows with the acquisition of the world-famous Finnish pole brand ONE WAY, which has several products specialized for cross-country skiing. Like Fischer, ONE WAY's main tool for brand awareness and image is through international racing. Many Olympic and World Champions successfully rely on the brand's products. This commitment to racing is continued without interruption to utilize the synergies of the two major Nordic brands in the future.

Following its successful integration into the Fischer Group, the ONE WAY brand is successfully repositioned for the 21l22 season. The new corporate design is developed as part of the brand relaunch with a new look and logo that clearly sets the direction: ONE WAY becomes fresher, more modern, and more relevant. At the same time, the product portfolio is expanded to include a complete Alpine pole collection followed by the successful entry into Alpine racing. "The addition of the Alpine pole segment to our product portfolio makes ONE WAY a full-range supplier of winter poles for the first time," says Severin Lehner, Head of ONE WAY, about the new brand direction. With roller skiing and Nordic walking poles already in the range, the logical next step follows in spring 2023 to strengthen the summer business with the introduction of the trekking pole collection.

The development of ice hockey sticks is also driven forward. Fischer is now one of the world's largest producers of high-quality ice hockey sticks. The focus is increasingly placed on the production of sticks under the company's own brand and the innovations flow directly into the new RC ONE Fischer collection. Whether for beginners, amateur players, or professionals in the top leagues - Fischer now offers sticks tailored to individual needs and is represented at the World Championships.
