The Fischer Race Family made it a bright ski winter

The Alpine World Cup came to an end this weekend in Soldeu and Fischer can look back on an extremely successful season. The Fischer team skied their way to nine victories and 22 podium finishes in total in 73 men's and ladies' races. Speed ace Nicole Schmidhofer managed a special highlight, clinching the small crystal globe for victory in the Downhill World Cup at the World Cup finals in Andorra. In the Super G World Cup she finished the season in second place overall, the same as Vincent Kriechmayr in the men's discipline. Ramona Siebenhofer, Max Franz and Daniel Yule also celebrated World Cup victories for the Fischer Race Family.

Schmidhofer clinches Downhill globe at World Cup finals in Soldeu

As the season gradually comes to an end, Nicole Schmidhofer is once again in the news for the Fischer Race Family with an impressive achievement. She may have only finished in eleventh place in difficult wind conditions in the ladies' finals of the Alpine Ski World Cup in Andorra, but this was still enough for her to clinch overall victory in the Downhill ranking.

Fanara third in Bansko – Schmidhofer on/off podium

The Fischer Race Family athletes are returning home from the races in Bansko and Crans Montana with a third place. Thomas Fanara's third place in the Giant Slalom in Bulgaria proved that he is still a force to be reckoned with. Nicole Schmidhofer also made it to the podium – in a manner of speaking. In the end, however, she had to settle for fourth place in the Downhill in Crans Montana which was marred by timekeeping issues.

Fischer Race Family Wins Four Medals in Åre

With a haul of four WSC medals the Fischer Race Family skiers started home from the Alpine World Ski Championships in Åre, Sweden. Speed ace Vincent Kriechmayr had the heaviest bag, having taken part in two medal ceremonies: for his silver in the Super G and bronze in the Downhill. There were also two medals for the Fischer athletes after the team event: Daniel Yule was a member of the winning Swiss team, while Katharina Truppe won silver with Austria.
