Downhill triple for the Fischer Race Family: Siebenhofer and Kriechmayr clinch victory

The Fischer Race Family celebrated three sensational victories in the most prestigious discipline in the Alpine Ski World Cup at the weekend: Ramona Siebenhofer paved the way on Friday with her first place in the ladies' Downhill in Cortina d'Ampezzo. On Saturday the Styrian racer increased it to two victories and was joined at the winners' ceremony by Nicole Schmidhofer who came second. Vincent Kriechmayr made it a perfect triple for Fischer, with victory in the legendary Lauberhorn Downhill.

Daniel Yule celebrates first World Cup victory in Madonna

The Alpine Ski World Cup delivered yet another spectacular race just before the Christmas break with Daniel Yule on the top of the winners' podium at the end. The 25-year-old Swiss athlete clinched his first World Cup victory in the classic night race in Madonna di Campiglio. Yule managed what was almost a perfect second run after placing fourth in the first.

Fischer girls clinch two podium places in Gröden

The members of the Fischer Race Family have left the Alpine ski races in Gröden and Saalbach with two podium finishes and a number of top-ten places to their name. Nicole Schmidhofer carved her way to second place in the Super G in Italy and Ramona Siebenhofer came third in the Downhill race.
