Siebenhofer and Leitinger with solid performances in Sölden

The Fischer Race Family's Giant Slalom aces delivered strong performances at the extremely well attended Alpine World Cup opening in Sölden at the weekend. Ramona Siebenhofer and Roland Leitinger went from strength to strength – especially in their second runs – in glorious weather conditions on the Rettenbachferner course. Speed specialist Siebenhofer rewarded herself with tenth place in the end, Leitinger improved his position to 19th thanks to the second fastest time in the deciding leg. In seventh place after the first run, fortune was not on Stefan Brennsteiner's side in the second.

It is home to Teton Gravity Research, a legendary centre with a fascinating skiing history and unbelievably rich natural diversity.
