When did you start cross-country skiing?
When I was little, I tried all kinds of sports. At the age of 8 I stood on cross-country skis for the first time.
What was your biggest breakthrough in your cross-country career?
For me personally, it was when I surprisingly became U23 World Champion in 2022 and was allowed to participate in the Olympic Games in Beijing for the first time. After a very difficult summer and a 4-month forced break due to a heart muscle inflammation, I was able to show a super season despite little training and make my first small breakthrough.
Where have you not been yet, where would you like to go (especially for skiing)?
I would love to go cross-country skiing in Canada and Australia. In any case, that's at the top of my to-do list.
Favorite activity / hobbies (besides cross-country skiing of course)?
In the summer I am a lot on the Bike and do triathlon races. In 2022 I qualified myself for the first time in triathlon world cups. I also love to cook and bake.
What kind of training do you enjoy the most?
I particularly like short, intense sessions. You can really let off steam and go full throttle.
What are your future goals/projects/dreams/ambitions?
My dream would be to compete in both sports, cross country and triathlon, at the Olympics in peak form and to inspire and encourage others to do what they love.
What are the 3 most important things to know about you?
I travel internationally with two sports.
I like to go my own way.
I used to be greedy for Nutella rolls 😊
Personal quote or motto?
Life a live you will remember!
Who is your mentor or role model?
Kristian Blummenfelt, he inspires me as a person and how he works hard for his goals.
What does our hashtag #livetoski mean to you?
#livetoski to me means living for the sport of cross-country skiing, enjoying what you do and most of all being grateful that we get to do what we love.
