When did you start skiing?

I started skiing at the age of 7 years old, when I moved back to Oslo, Norway after living in Belgium for 3 years.

When and why did you decide to go for long distance skiing in particular?

After I spontaneously raced Vasaloppet in 2021, I got a call from the Aukland brothers and their Team Ragde asking if I wanted to switch from traditional skiing to long distance. As a growing sport with lots of legendary races in very cool places around in Europe, Ski Classics and long distance seemed like the best and coolest opportunity as the next chapter of my skiing career.

What was your biggest moment in your skiing career?

Winning Norwegian Championships in Team Sprint together with my longtime teammate and best friend Harald Arnesen in 2022.

What are the top 3 things we should know about you?

Even though im a city boy, my family owns a farm that we manage.

I have lived in Denmark and Belgium.

And thirdly, I can speak three languages in addition to Norwegian (Danish, English, French).

What is your favorite quote or personal motto?

In Norwegian is "Det ordner seg alltid" meaning "It always works out" as a motto. If you just do your very best in all the different situations in life, things will work out in your favor.

Which ritual do you have before the race?

I have to find Andreas Nygaard 5 minutes before the race so he can lift me up and "crack" my back. I always do that, and it has ended up being this lucky charm kind of thing.

Where would you like to travel to?

I love Italy and Italian cuisine, so my go-to destination is somewhere in Italy, but I would love to travel to Japan one day as well.

What is your favorite hobby on a day off?

If I have some free time, I love to spend it playing golf. I'm really hooked, and I spend way too much time watching and playing it.

How would your roommate describe you?

Hmm, an early bird that is (99% of the time) always positive and has a big competitive instinct, maybe.

What does Fischer mean to you?

Fischer for me means the ability to ski fast. Fischer is quality meets esthetics. Fischer for me not only has the fastest skis, but they are also the coolest.
