On taking over the factory in Mukachevo Fischer also inherits the production of hockey sticks, which have been manufactured there for the Russian market since the 1960s. Since the end of the 1990s Fischer has been producing hockey sticks for two Canadian firms – Franklin and Sherwood – and in 2000 and 2004 they are joined by Easton and Bauer as customers. In 2011 Fischer crosses the magic threshold of a million hockey sticks sold in one year; the actual total manufactured in Mukachevo that year is 1,080,000. The main sales markets are Europe and North America. However, ice hockey sticks "made by Fischer" are also supplied to comparatively untypical hockey countries such as Brazil or Israel. The bulk of the sticks are still made of wood today. Particularly in the case of high-grade sticks, though, there is an increasing trend toward composite technology, in which carbon and glass fibre are processed.

Fischer quality convinces the ice hockey pros, too; more and more of them rely on Fischer sticks. Increasingly Fischer markets accessories such as gloves, shirts and visors.
