New members of the Fischer Race Family

Four athletes from three nations: the Fischer Race Family is delighted to welcome promising new members for the coming season. The Italian Matteo Marsaglia, the Austrian Katharina Huber and the two Swiss skiers Urs Kryenbühl and Stefan Rogetin are joining the ski manufacturers from Ried im Innkreis and will be racing on Fischer skis in future.

Within the ski world Japan has built an impressive reputation.  For decades skiers and film crews have been traveling to Japan for the same reason.  The seemingly never ending supply of deep, light, powder.  Year after year more people travel there and continue to come back with similar tales of snow that never stops, lifts with little to no lines, and a culture so welcoming and courteous that even the strongest patriots will consider a long term change of locale.  All of these things peaked Kyle Smaine’s interest and motivated his journey to the Land of the Rising Sun. In this travel log he reports on his adventures.

Matthieu Tordeur crossed the land of extremes

Matthieu Tordeur has embarked on the expedition of his life. The figures speak for themselves: at 27, he covered 1150 kilometres on skis in 50 days in November 2018 with a 100-kilo sled in tow. This makes him the youngest ever and first French explorer to make the journey from the Antarctic coast to the South Pole - alone on skis, without a kite and without any outside support. After his return, he talks about the peculiarities of Antarctica, the special living conditions there and why he didn't take off his skis from the very first day when he wasn't in his tent.
