Next Super G podium for Raphael Haaser

Next Super G podium finish for Austrian Raphael Haaser after his second place in Bormio, Italy. After finishing 15th in the first Super G in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, the Tyrolean was only narrowly beaten by Marco Odermatt in the second race of the weekend.

The Ski Austria ace was the only one to keep up with the Swiss racer's Odermatt top run, losing out by 0.3 seconds but celebrating second place. After the conditions were rather difficult on Saturday due to the warm weather, the track was in much better condition on Sunday after frosty temperatures. And Haaser benefited from this, putting in an outstanding performance with Bib 13 and standing on the podium alongside Odermatt and young Swiss skier Von Allmen.

After the speed races in Chamonix had to be canceled due to the poor snow conditions, the downhill and Super G athletes now have a break until February 15, when the World Cup continues in Kvitfjell, Norway.
