Happy surprise in Adelboden! Dominik Raschner achieves the 3rd place in the slalom at Chuenisbärgli with an outstanding second run and secures his first ever World Cup Slalom Podium.

The slalom in Adelboden is a huge highlight year after year. A great atmosphere and exciting races are guaranteed when the athletes take to the start line on the Chuenisbärgli. The day was all the more successful for Dominik Raschner, who took third place, his first ever podium in the Slalom World Cup. With a strong first run and best time in an outstanding final, he was able to make up a few places and ended up on the podium alongside Feller and McGrath.

"This is my greatest success. I've invested a lot in my slalom skiing. It's fantastic that it's worked out like this," he said after his best run time in the final earned him his second World Cup podium finish. In November 2021, Raschner came second in the parallel event in Lech/Zürs - as he did a year and a half later at the World Championships in Courchevel. "I've been training a lot in slalom now and have found my setup, as well as the confidence in myself," said the 29-year-old.
