Karl Geiger claims his first ever World Cup victory

Karl Geiger (GER) was happy to celebrate his very first World Cup victory on Saturday in Engelberg (SUI). Daniel Huber (AUT, Fischer) jumped onto the podium.

While Piotr Zyla (POL), the leader after the first round, was annoyed about his landing immediately after landing, Karl Geiger could already smile all over his face. The German jumped five meters further than the Pole and received better style points, so that his first World Cup victory was certain. "It's indescribable. I'm mega happy that worked so well. I'm so happy, simply awesome!" rejoiced the happy winner, who was already in the summer one of the best and showed constant top performances also this winter. Daniel Huber made a podium finish in third place for the first time. Eighth place went to Stefan Kraft in front of Michael Hayböck (both AUT, Fischer).
