As the season progressed, we slowly ran out of superlatives. Starting with the big air victory in Chur (SUI) and the slopestyle victory in Stubai (AUT), Mathilde was simply unstoppable and also remained unbeaten in the big air on the Olympic hill in Beijing (CHN). Only in Copper Mountain (USA) did she have to admit defeat to the strong Tess Ledeux from France for the first time, but her second place there was also an outstanding performance.

Both at her home World Cup in Laax (SUI) and at the subsequent World Cup in Mammoth Mountain (USA), Mathilde once again put in her best performance and won both tour stops before moving on to France. She also won the Big Air in Tignes (FRA) before being beaten again by Tess Ledeux (FRA) in the Slopestyle discipline. As the Frenchwoman Ledeux also won the last Slopestyle competition in Silvaplana (SUI) just ahead of Mathilde, she remains the only athlete this season to have beaten the exceptional Swiss athlete.

At the end of this incredible season, Mathilde Gremaud was able to lift three crystal globes into the sky at her home World Cup in Corvatsch, Silvaplana, where the World Championships will also be held next year. She won the small crystal globes for the overall rankings in Slopestyle and Big Air, as well as the large crystal globe for the Overall Park & Pipe World Cup!

What a season for Mathilde, who has written herself into the history books of the sport. All the more remarkable is the fact that this record-breaking season started directly with the switch to Fischer, making her first season on the Fischer Nightstick her most successful ever. It is rather unusual that after a long time on another brand, the switch works so extremely well and proves so extremely beneficial. This underlines the quality and competitiveness of Fischer's new Nightstick freestyle line, which also benefits from the extensive feedback from all athletes during the development phase.
