The Swiss freeskier is one of the best athletes in the world and can boast an impressive CV with 3 Olympic podiums, 2 World Championship podiums, 8 podiums at the X-Games and 14 podiums in the World Cup. And that at just 23 years old.
We are all the happier to have been able to recruit an athlete of this caliber for our freestyle team. And despite all her successes, Mathilde's eyes widened when she entered the Fischer headquarters in Ried. She had never seen a ski company of this size before in her career and was visibly impressed.
It was generally the first time that the Red Bull athlete was ever allowed to see how a ski is actually produced. We took her on an extensive factory tour and introduced her to the production process that her Nightstick, for example, goes through until it is finished and ready to ski.
A few video and photo productions, expert talks and an autograph session later, we opened Pepi Fischer's historic office at the end of Mathilde's visit. "You can really feel the vibe, it's very impressive," said Mathilde about the unchanged office of the ski industry pioneer.
