Chiara Hölzl celebrates her second World Cup victory

Chiara Hölzl (AUT, Fischer) secured her second World Cup victory in Rasnov (ROU). Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer) was beaten narrowly.

In very changeable wind conditions, an exciting competition developed in which the wind repeatedly caused shifts in the result. Chiara Hölzl was only fifth after the first round after jumping 89 meters behind Katharina Althaus, Juliane Seyfarth (GER), Eva Pinkelnig (AUT) and Sara Takanashi (JPN). However, she easily caught up her four points backlog in the final with her 99 meters and took her second victory. Katharina Althaus had benefited from the headwind in her first jump, but jumped one meter further in the final so that she could secure second place. Maren Lundby (NOR, Fischer) was only in ninth place after 87 meters in the first jump, but improved to fifth, tied with her teammate Silje Opseth (NOR, Fischer). Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT, Fischer) came in eighth ahead of Nika Kriznar (SLO, Fischer) and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (AUT, Fischer).
