Lundby and Strøm in Nizhniy Tagil on the podium

Maren Lundby and Anna Odine Strøm (both NOR, Fischer) made it onto the podium when Jule Seyfarth (GER) took the win.

For the second time this winter, the two Norwegians could celebrate a World Cup podium together. Nevertheless, the rejoicing was, of course, especially great with Anna Odine Strøm over her second ever podium finish. "I am very happy about the second podium this winter, it was way ahead of my expectations. It was great fun to jump today, nice hill, the conditions were changing a bit, but luckily I did not experience any of that in my jumps. I am pretty tired after the intense Raw Air tournament." Maren Lundby is safe with the overall World Cup after this second place, so she also had something to celebrate. But this time for another win, it was not enough in changeable conditions. "I am really happy about yet another podium this season and I am also happy for Anna, two Norwegians on the podium, that’s great. Let’s see what the Blue Bird Tour will bring, I am really looking forward to that. I am really excited about the new series, it adds some extra excitement to the final competitions of this season." After the first round, Maren Lundby was still in the lead, but in the final she missed 7.5 meters on Juliane Seyfarth, who showed the longest jumps in both rounds and thus also leads the Russia Blue Bird Tour which consists of four competitions. Anna Odine Strøm beat Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer) in the battle for the podium by a hair's breadth. The German moved up from seven to four with a second jump of 93 meters. Lara Malsiner (ITA, Fischer) finished in a very good sixth position ahead of Chiara Hölzl (AUT, Fischer).
