He did it again!

Bryce Bennett wins the downhill in Val Gardena again, his second time after winning it in 2021!

Bryce Bennett and the Saslong in Val Gardena are a special kind of love story!

After winning his first and only World Cup race so far in Val Gardena back in 2021 it was once again the US speed skier who made the top of the podium in the first of two downhills in the Italian Dolomites.

For a long time Norwegian Alexander Aamodt Kilde (+0.03 sec) seemed to be the winner of the first speed race of the season, followed closely by Marco Odermatt (+0.05 sec).

But they didn't count on Bryce, who was despite to his high Bib No.34 able to take advantage of the improving visibility and his good connection to the Saslong.

Congrats, Bryce! What a start into the speed season 23I24!
