Background

In the course of routine quality assurance and control activities, it has become apparent to Fischer Sports GmbH that the heat-level controller from the heatable ski boot bag "Skibootbag Heated 230V/12V" (delivery after January 2018) can in very few exceptional cases be damaged/deformed due to heat buildup. A resulting fire hazard can therefore not be 100% ruled out by Fischer Sports.

Among other things, improper use of the product by the end customer and faulty installed components (resistor components) on the electronics of the heating controller are responsible.

To rule out a safety risk for our customers, Fischer is recalling all previously delivered "Skibootbag Heated 230V/12V" from the market. It is a quantity of approx. 1000 pieces, which were delivered in addition to sample deliveries to end customers in European countries and worldwide as well. Our highquality standards and our sense of responsibility have prompted us to take a proactive approach with this recall to further ensure the quality of our products in every respect, and to rule out any safety risks.

All consumers of the affected "Skibootbag Heated 230V/12V" bag should immediately contact their respective dealer for the purpose of returning the product. In the course of the return, the purchase price will be refunded. All returned skibootbags are to be sent back to Fischer Sports GmbH, Service department.

All unsold "Skibootbag Heated 230V/12V" dealer inventory must be returned to Fischer Sports GmbH, Service Department, free of charge.
