Katharina Althaus secures her second season win

Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer) celebrated her sixth World Cup victory in Premanon (FRA).

The first competition of the ski jumpers in Premanon started with fantastic winter weather and only light but turning wind. During the competition (especially in the final), the wind, which mostly came from the side, refreshed significantly, so that Maren Lundby (NOR, Fischer) had to start a catch-up from the thirteenth place in the second round. The victory went to overall World Cup leader Katharina Althaus, who passed Sara Takanashi (JPN) with a great 94.5 meter jump in the final and celebrated her sixth World Cup victory. Teammate Carina Vogt (GER, Fischer) finished seventh, ninth went to Maren Lundby.
