Riiber in Ruka unbeatable

Jarl Magnus Riiber (NOR, Fischer ***) was in Ruka in his own world. The other podium finishes went to his teammates Jørgen Graabak (NOR, Fischer ***) and Jens Lurås Oftebro (NOR, Fischer ***).

Three races, three wins and each of them with a huge lead - Jarl Magnus Riiber can only beat himself this winter. Today the competition round had to be canceled because of rotating gusts of wind after 14 athletes, so that the provisional competition round was used, where the conditions had not been better and the gaps were huge. So Jarl Magnus Riiber was already one minute ahead at the start of the cross-country race and everyone knew before that nobody would catch him. Nevertheless, the Norwegian was 30 seconds faster today than in his solo run yesterday. Behind Riiber there were tactical races, both in the first three and in the second group, so that Ryota Yamamoto (JPN, Fischer **) and Philipp Orter (AUT, Fischer ***) approached. In the sprint for second place Jørgen Graabak beat Jens Lurås Oftebro and F-J Rehrl (AUT). Einar Lurås Oftebro (NOR, Fischer ***) outsprinted Espen Bjørnstad (NOR, Fischer ***) and Philipp Orter in the sprint of the second group. Yamamoto finished ninth ahead of Vinzenz Geiger (GER, Fischer ***).
