Matti Heikkinen (FIN) returns to Fischer

Positive news once again from the Fischer Race Family: Matti Heikkinen (FIN) is to return to Fischer. The world champion of Oslo (NOR) 2011 will in future compete again with Fischer skis and additionally with Fischer boots, plus the TURNAMIC® binding setup in the fight for World Cup points and medals.

Matti Heikkinen is no stranger to the Fischer Race Family. At the World Championships in Liberec (CZE) 2009 the Finn already won bronze in the relay and over 15 kilometers in the classic technique on Fischer. Matti Heikkinen also relied successfully on Fischer's black and yellow racing skis during his career highlight in 2011, when he won gold at the World Championships in Oslo (NOR) over 15 kilometers in the classic technique. Despite this huge success, he then decided to change his ski brand.

No, however, after a rather mixed season, Matti Heikkinen has decided to rejoin the Fischer Race Family. “I have been racing for 25 years. My career will continue towards World Championships in Seefeld and now is the time to make well-considered decisions to develop as a cross-country skier. One of the critical domains in success is competitive equipment.” When it comes to this topic, the Fischer homecomer knows: “I feel comfortable on Fischer skis. I joined the Fischer Race Family because I want to have equipment that I can count on in all conditions.”
