Kraft third-placed in B'hofen - Eisenbichler Four Hills-runner-up

Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer) managed it to finish on the podium in the last competition of the Four Hills Tournament in Bischofshofen (AUT) and came in third. Markus Eisenbichler (GER, Fischer) finished second overall in the Four Hills Tournament.

Four victories in all four competitions of the Four Hills Tournament - Ryoyu Kobayashi (JPN), the outstanding athlete of the winter, is the third in the Four Hills Giants' club with Sven Hannawald (GER) and Kamil Stoch (POL, Fischer). That it was not an easy jumping, the fourth place of the Japanese after the first round shows it - a slow inrun track in wet snowfall was the reason. The qualification the day before was cancelled due to the plenty of fresh snow in the entire northern Alps region and was rescheduled for the early afternoon before the competition. Stefan Kraft secured his third podium finish during this Four Hills Tournament and finished third behind Kobayashi and Kubacki (POL). After the first round, the Four Hills-second-placed Markus Eisenbichler was in the lead, but on top of the hill he became "nervous", as he immediately said in the outrun to his teammates - the German was too cramped in his inrun position. His 131.5 meters were only enough for fifth place - but he was able to save his second place in the Four Hills Tournament. "Cool cool cool - no shit: That's just mega!", rejoiced Eisenbichler after finishing second in the overall ranking. "I'm totally happy. I was very nervous before my jump because I heard Kobayashi was in the lead and then everyone said, 'Eisenbichler, now you have to attack!' " Kilian Peier (SUI, Fischer) finished eighth, Karl Geiger (GER, Fischer) was ranked tenth.
