Eva Pinkelnig (AUT), the high-flyer of the Japan trip, celebrated her third World Cup victory. However, this time it was very tight and teammate Chiara Hölzl made it really difficult for her to win. The competition took place under changing headwinds and Hölzl jumped 97.5 meters twice, thus missing her second World Cup success by only 1.8 points. Maren Lundby jumped a few meters shorter in both rounds so that she could not intervene in the fight for victory, but at least she secured another podium. Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer) finished fifth, seventh place went to Marita Kramer (AUT, Fischer) followed by Nika Kriznar (SLO, Fischer), Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT, Fischer) and Lara Malsiner (ITA, Fischer).
