After 15-20 minutes, the fog dropped significantly for a while, so the best athletes with the first starting numbers had the best conditions today. Johannes Thingnes Bø was again unstoppable with one penalty and still won by more than half a minute. "Before the start the conditions were very difficult, I thought it would be canceled, it was very difficult to see the targets," said the Norwegian after the race and was not alone with this opinion. "But in the competition it was better then, in zeroing it was much worse. On Sunday from 5p.m. is celebration!", cheered Bø, who wants to celebrate two more victories until then. When the Norwegian was at the finish, however, the fog became stronger again and also the wind freshened up clearly for the last skiers. However, Quentin Fillon Maillet already started with number two and was delighted with his third place after clean shooting. Despite his two penalties, Julian Eberhard (AUT, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) missed the podium by just three seconds. Tarjei Bø (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) finished fifth. Rank nine went to Alexander Loginov (RUS, Fischer skis, bindings and boots). Felix Leitner (AUT, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) was the only skier with a higher starting number than 50 in the top ten, followed by Philipp Nawrath (GER, Fischer skis, bindings and boots).
