Maren Lundby superior winner in Lillehammer

Maren Lundby (NOR, Fischer) was on the large hill of her hometown Lillehammer (NOR) clearly superior to all other jumpers. Chiara Hölzl (AUT, Fischer) finished third.

Maren Lundby starts the new season as she has finished the old one. After her clear victory in the overall World Cup, the Norwegian also gave anyone no chance on the large hill in Lillehammer. Already in the first round she jumped with her 138 meters 7.5 meters further than the second largest distance and also set the best width in the final with 135 meters. So her victorx was not in doubt and she was in the end 24 points ahead of the loud cheering second-placed Eva Pinkelnig (AUT). Her compatriot Chiara Hölzl was also happy about the podium place. Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer) took sixth place ahead of Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (AUT, Fischer) and Silje Opseth (NOR, Fischer). World Cup newbie Marita Kramer (AUT, Fischer) finished tenth, being the fourth Austrian in the top ten.
