Maren Lundby continues winning streak

Maren Lundby (NOR, Fischer) was also unbeatable on Sunday. Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer) took third place in Lundby's fifth World Cup victory in a row.

Maren Lundby is still in a class of her own in women's ski jumping World Cup. With 90 and 88.5 meters in a competition with relatively little wind, she again put a pretty clear lead between herself and everyone else. Already after yesterday's competition, she was very satisfied with her improving jumps and is particularly pleased that things are going so well in Austria, the host country of the Nordic World Ski Championships. "I am very happy about my second victory in Hinzenbach. This is my 5th victory in a row so it looks like my jumps are really good now and my form is consistent just three weeks ahead of World Championships. I am really excited about the team event in Ljubno next week, we have a strong, competitive team", she said after her fifth win in a row. Katharina Althaus again secured third place. Upper Austrian Chiara Hölzl (AUT, Fischer) finished fifth ahead of Carina Vogt (GER, Fischer) and Lara Malsiner (ITA, Fischer). Ninth place went to Anna Odine Strøm (NOR, Fischer).
