Katharina Althaus triumphs in Lillehammer

Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer) celebrated her first win of the season in Lillehammer (NOR). Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT, Fischer) finished third.

In significantly better wind conditions, but sometimes heavy snowfall, the third World Cup competition of the ladies took place. After two jumps on the large hill Katharina Althaus succeeded with tieing her own hill record with 139.5 meters in the final and won by 12 points. She traded the positions with Daniela Iraschko-Stolz who led after the first jump and finished third in the end. After her heavy fall with facial injuries on Monday, this podium finish is a great success. Alexandra Kustova (RUS, Fischer) achieved her best World Cup result in fifth place. Carina Vogt (GER, Fischer) finished seventh.
