In the mixed relay at the end of the World Cup weeks in Canada and the USA, a three-way battle developed between France, Germany and Norway, in which sometimes one and sometimes the other team was able to open a gap. In the end, the French took the victory with only three spare rounds in the entire race. Erik Lesser, Benedikt Doll, Franziska Hildebrand and Vanessa Hinz (all GER), who was substituted for sick Denise Herrmann (GER, Fischer skis, bindings and boots), secured second place. Norway gave away the victory at the shooting range with penalties by Tiril Eckhoff (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) and Marte Olsbu Røiseland (NOR) - the victory was gone although Johannes Thingnes Bø (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots), Eckhoff and Olsbu skied extremely fast. The Swiss team with Jeremy Finello, Benjamin Weger, Elisa Gasparin (all SUI) and Lena Häcki (SUI, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) finished in strong fourth despite a penalty from Häcki ahead of Sweden with Torstein Stenersen (SWE), Peppe Femling, (SWE, Fischer skis and bindings), Ingela Andersson and Elisabeth Högberg (both SWE, Fischer skis, bindings and boots).
