Fabian Rießle triumphates in Lahti ahead of his compatriots

Fabian Rießle (GER, Fischer skis and boots) is the winner of the second event during nordic combined World Cup in Lahti (FIN). He shared the podium with two team mates Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) and Johannes Rydzek (GER, Fischer skis and boots).

"It was a very good jump and I am very satisfied with it. During the last years I had arces like this from the lead. Of course, that's better than a catch-up but nevertheless I have to ski my own race", Eric Frenzel said after his jump which gave him a small lead to all the others. For a long time he worked together very well with his team mate Fabian Rießle in the lead of a group of six and later also Johannes Rydzek joined this group. The group was totallly destroyed during the last cross-coountry lap and Eric Frenzel and Fabian Rießle were able to escape. In the end Fabian Rießle had the most energies left and secured victory ahead of his compatrot. Johannes Rydzek ensured a German treble. Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis and boots) came in fourth and Samuel Costa (ITA, Fischer skis and boots) sixth. Eighth went to Ilkka Herola (FIN, Fischer skis and boots) followed by Francois Braud (FRA, Fischer skis and boots).
