In changeable wind conditions, where the wind blew at different points of the jump from different directions, two jumps were held on the hill before it went to the final 15 kilometer cross-country race of the Chaux Neuve Triple. In jumping, Mario Seidl was clearly the best with jumps on 118.5 and 115 meters, which earned him a 37 second advantage over his compatriot Franz-Josef Rehrl (AUT), who won day one and two. In the cross-country race, the group behind the two Austrians started to catch up, but no one could catch Mario Seidl. "This is so beautiful today. Actually, I am still a bit perplexed myself, amazing that it was enough in the end. I did not have my top jumps in the last two days, I knew this. They were okay but not my top jumps. I stayed calm and today, I was finally able to show what I am capable of. The starting position was of course amazing today. I made a tactical plan before the race and it was to start fast. Then I struggled a little in the middle part of the race but when I noticed I still had power to go in the end, I knew if would be enough. Crossing the finish line was an amazing feeling, I just enjoyed it. As I said, I still can't believe it today but it's just fantastic." Behind Fabian Rießle (GER) and FJ Rehrl a minute behind the winner a four-member group fought for fourth place, which went to Jørgen Graabak (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) just ahead of Jarl Magnus Riiber (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots). Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) finished seventh, Espen Bjørnstad (NOR, Fischer skis, bindings and boots) came in ninth in front of Vincent Geiger, Eric Frenzel and John Rydzek (all GER, Fischer skis, bindings and boots).
