Austrian girls celebrate close victory in team jumping

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT, Fischer), Sara Marita Kramer (AUT, Fischer), Eva Pinkelnig (AUT) and Chiara Hölzl (AUT, Fischer) are the winners of the team competition at the Ski Jumping World Cup in Ljubno (SLO). Nika Kriznar (SLO, Fischer), Spela Rogelj (SLO, Fischer), Katra Komar (SLO, Fischer) and Ema Klinec (SLO) came in second. Anna Odine Strøm (NOR, Fischer), Thea Minyan Bjørseth (NOR, Fischer), Silje Opseth (NOR, Fischer) and Maren Lundby (NOR, Fischer) finished third.

Although in the first round with a very strong tailwind for the last two groups for almost the entire Austrian team it was not yet as desired, in the end they could still be celebrated as winners. After the first round the strong Slovenians were 40 points ahead, but in the final the Austrians fought back and won with only three points. Chiara Hölzl contributed the shortest jumps to the success of the team this time, Nika Kriznar was the strongest among the Slovenians. The Norwegians Anna Odine Strøm, Thea Minyan Bjørseth, Silje Opseth and Maren Lundby took third place without danger. Fourth place went to the German quartet with Svenja Würth (GER, Fischer), Juliane Seyfarth (GER), Selina Freitag (GER, Fischer) and Katharina Althaus (GER, Fischer).
