Norway's biathletes win men's relay

Johannes Dale (NOR, Fischer ***), Erlend Bjøntegaard (NOR), Tarjei Bø (NOR, Fischer ***) and Johannes Thingnes Bø (NOR, Fischer ***) won the relay race in Östersund (SWE). Second place went to Emilien Jacquelin (FRA), Quentin Fillon Maillet (FRA, Fischer ***), Simon Desthieux (FRA) and Martin Fourcade (FRA) followed by Lukas Hofer (ITA), Thomas Bormolini (ITA, Fischer **) , Daniele Cappellari (ITA) and Dominik Windisch (ITA).

As expected, Norway and France delivered an exciting duel from the middle of the race, with the Norwegians once again ahead. In skiing Johannes Thingnes Bø was again significantly faster than Martin Fourcade, so that the Frenchman soon gave up the fight for victory after being seven seconds behind after the last shooting and was satisfied with second place. The Italians cheered for third place after having to replace Guiseppe Montello (ITA, Fischer ****), injured in a training crash, with the inexperienced Daniele Cappellari. Fourth went to Russians Matvey Eliseev (RUS), Dmitry Malyshko (RUS, Fischer ***) Eduard Latypov (RUS, Fischer ***) and Alexander Loginov (RUS, Fischer ***) in front of Sweden with Torstein Stenersen (SWE ), Jesper Nelin (SWE), Martin Ponsiluoma (SWE, Fischer ***) and Sebastian Samuelsson (SWE).
