Fischer Race Family starts into the Worldcup Season 21|22

The Giant Slalom in Sölden is the traditional kickoff event of the World Cup season. There will be nearly 90 events on the schedule through March, one of which is the Olympic Games in Beijing. The Fischer Race Family is highly motivated and bursting with energy as they storm into an Olympic winter.

Fischer Family athletes having been preparing for months for the opening races in favorite training spots such as Saas-Fee in Switzerland. The highpoint of the upcoming season will be the Beijing Olympic Games, taking place from February 4th through the 20th, 2022, in the Yanqing ski facility. The season finale, with the awarding of the crystal globes, takes place in Courchevel/Méribel, France which will also be the home of the 2023 World Championships.

The strong Fischer team welcomes the addition of Ricarda Haaser and Jasmine Flury for this upcoming season. We’re also pleased about extending contracts with successful racers such as Katharina Truppe, Max Franz, Dave Ryding, Kristoffer Jakobsen and Aleksandr Khoroshilov.

One of the many top favorites this season is Stefan Brennsteiner. The Austrian came on strong in the final races of last season and is definitely looking forward to fighting for the podium again in ’21-22.

Switzerland’s Urs Kryenbühl und Austrian speed queen Nici Schmidhofer are all in on successful comebacks following their hard crashes. Schmidhofer explains, “I absolutely want to be there for the start of the World Cup again this coming season. That’s my goal, and my team and I are doing everything we can to get there…My plan is also to get to the Olympics, because that’s one medal that is definitely missing from my collection!”

Fischer race director Siegi Voglreiter is also expecting an exciting season. “Our highly motivated team will give it their all, as they always do, to turn in top performances. All our athletes have great potential, and I’m positive they are going to serve up some exciting races and good results. I wish all our athletes, as well as the support team, a successful winter and an injury-free season!”
