First podium for Peter Prevc this winter

Peter Prevc (SLO, Fischer) secured his first podium this winter at the World Cup in Engelberg (SUI).

Peter Prevc lost his first podium this season due to disqualification in Ruka (FIN), this time the Slovenian was reallyallowed to cheer. It was a competition with difficult wind conditions in which most jumpers had to deal with a lot of tail wind. With a bit of luck, some of the jumpers also had better conditions - especially the first number in the first round, who all were allowed to jump in because the qualification had to be canceled after 16 jumpers. After two jumps on 123.5 and 127.5 meters, Peter Prevc missed 8.9 points on Ryoyu Kobayashi (JPN), who jumped from seven to one in the final. Karl Geiger (GER, Fischer) finished fourth ahead of Daniel Huber (AUT, Fischer) and Philipp Aschenwald (AUT, Fischer). Kamil Stoch (POL, Fischer) came in ninth. Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer), fourth-placed after the first round, lost control at his landing in the final. He is not injured in his fall but dropped back to 18th.
