Wire-to-wire victory for Johannes Thingnes Bø

Johannes Thingnes Bø (NOR, Fischer ***) could not be beaten in the pursuit in Hochfilzen (AUT). Alexander Loginov (RUS, Fischer ***) was ranked second.

Johannes Thingnes Bø started into the pursuit race with a lead and when he hit the targets perfectly, shooting by shooting, his lead grew second by second. That's why he didn't have to put the fastest time in the snow (eleventh ski time, 31 seconds behind Johannes Kühn (GER, Fischer ***)) and nevertheless to win by more than half a minute. Alexander Loginov, who also shot clean, finished second. Jakov Fak (SLO, Fischer ***) improved from 13 to 4. Tarjei Bø (NOR, Fischer ***) finished sixth after two penalties. Fabien Claude (FRA, Fischer) came in eighth ahead of his teammates Quentin Fillon Maillet (FRA, Fischer ***) and Martin Fourcade (FRA), each with two shooting errors.
