Stefan Kraft runner-up in the RAW AIR series

Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer) was on the ski flying hill in Vikersund (NOR) in the last three days in impressive form. However, it was not enough to win - neither in the today's event nor in the RAW AIR, where he led until the last jump.

After two long flights on 236.5 and 229.5 meters, Stefan Kraft again secured a podium result. Better than him, however, were Vikersund high-flyer Domen Prevc (SLO) and Ryoyu Kobayashi (JPN), who decided the final placement with just 0.1 points difference. Also the RAW AIR was lost for the Austrian to the Japanese with only 2.9 points gap. "I would have had some reserves today, thethe jumps were not perfect. But if you look at his [Kobayashi] second jump, that was a bomb again!", marveled once more about the Japaneses performance this season. The long season is finally coming to an end. "Now you can only motivate yourself for ski flying, but Planica is the coolest jumping hill, the best athmosphere, that will be awesome again", Kraft said. Fifth-placed Markus Eisenbichler (GER, Fischer) is also in good spirits and made a challenge to the Japanese: "I said to Ryoyu before ski flying here in Vikersund: 'The ski flying World Cup, you will not win! I am going to fight for it!'" In this standings, everything is open before the last two individual competitions with a total of 200 World Cup points to win on Friday and Sunday: Kobayashi leads with 16 points ahead of the German, the first six athletes separate only 52 points.
