Karl Geiger triumphs again on the normal hill

The normal hill is clearly Karl Geigers (GER, Fischer) thing: after two victories in Val di Fiemme, he now also triumphed in Rasnov (ROU). Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer ***) finished third.

After an absolutely fair and exciting first round, the weather suddenly did not play along for the final: Due to a sudden shower of sleet at the beginning of the second round, some of the first five athletes had with up to 2 km/h less inrun speed absolutely no chance. A ten-minute break was announced to wait for the end of the shower, and as a result, big bunchs of sleet were collected from the inrun track. Then the final was restarted, the first five jumpers were allowed to compete again before the best ten athletes. In the end, the result in the first four places remained unchanged compared to the first jump: after two jumps at exactly 100 meters, Karl Geiger celebrated his third win of the season - he achieved all three on normal hills. In the final he extended his tight lead to a little more than six points. Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer) made the podium again, but lost 40 World Cup points on Geiger. Peter Prevc (SLO, Fischer) was satisfied with his jumps at 98.5 and 96 meters, even if he missed the podium by more than six points in fourth. Kamil Stoch (POL, Fischer) finished sixth ahead of Philipp Aschenwald (AUT, Fischer). Pius Paschke (GER, Fischer) was ranked tenth.
