Karl Geiger extends his overall World Cup lead

Despite his fifth place in Titisee-Neustadt (GER), Karl Geiger (GER, Fischer) was able to extend the overall World Cup lead over Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer).

Dawid Kubacki (POL) and Ryoyu Kobayashi (JPN) couldn't be beaten in an exciting competition with varying degrees of headwind. The ever-changing wind ensured that the athletes' inrun length had to be changed several times between hatches eight, six, five and four and back. Although the hill doesn't suit him so well, Karl Geiger secured fifth place with 137.5 and 134 meters. The wind got a bit worse for the last jumpers and Stefan Kraft dropped back to eleventh place after only 127 meters, so that Karl Geiger could extend his lead in the overall World Cup against the Austrian.
