Chiara Hölzl wins with new hill record

Chiara Hölzl (AUT, Fischer) celebrated her third World Cup victory at the World Cup test event in Oberstdorf (GER), followed by Maren Lundby (NOR, Fischer) and Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT, Fischer).

In the first competition on the large hill in Oberstdorf one year before the 2021 World Championships, the athletes had to cope with rain and tailwind. After the first round Chiara Hölzl was just ahead of Maren Lundby and three other ÖSV jumpers. In the final, Hölzl used a brief moment of almost complete still air for a long jump to 141.5 meters - six meters further than the old hill record by Maren Lundby. The Norwegian could only applaud in the Leader's Box and be happy about her second place. Daniela Iraschko-Stolz completed the podium. Nika Kriznar (SLO, Fischer) finished fifth ahead of 18-year-old Sara Marita Kramer (AUT, Fischer). Yuki Ito (JPN, Fischer) finished ninth.
