First World Cup win for Stefan Rogentin

Swiss Super G-expert Stefan Rogentin seized the last opportunity of the 23I24 season and won his first ever World Cup at the Super G finals in Saalbach. What an end to a solid season for the likeable athlete from Lenzerheide.

Stefan Rogentin started the last Super G of the season with Bib 6. Due to the spring-like temperatures and the late start time due to the previously scheduled women's final, the Swiss was able to take advantage of the deteriorating slope conditions as the race progressed. With a flawless performance and a clean run, the Swiss was able to top his previous best result in the World Cup, a second place in the Super G in Wengen.

During a parade run by the Swiss national team, all three athletes on the podium were Swiss, Stefan was able to celebrate the perfect anniversary in his 100th World Cup race. With a lead of 0.03 seconds, Stefan was joined on the podium by Loic Meillard and Arnaud Boisset.
