The Alpine Race Athletes made it a bright ski winter

This winter the Fischer Race Family again produced an impressive performance with excellent results in the Alpine Ski World Cup. Over a total of 66 races for men and women the final tally of six wins and 17 podiums gave cause for celebration. And this number would almost certainly have increased if the coronavirus outbreak had not ended the season prematurely.

Truppe Again World Class: Third in Kranjska Gora

The women alpine skiers’ World Cup race weekend in Kranjska Gora had a happy ending in store for Katharina Truppe (AUT). The young Carinthian from the Fischer Race Family, fifth after the first run on Sunday, produced an excellent performance in run 2 to finish third in the Slalom and so claim her second World Cup podium this season. Truppe was beaten only by the Slalom specialists Petra Vlhova (SVK) and Wendy Holdener (SUI). Her namesake and brand colleague Katharina Huber placed 16th.

Tumler and Schmidhofer Claim Podiums in the Alpine Ski World Cup

The Fischer Racing Team has two podium places to celebrate following the races in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and Chamonix. To begin with, Nici Schmidhofer returned to the circle of winners after a lengthy barren spell, finishing second in Sunday’s Super G in Garmisch. Swiss racer Thomas Tumler then rounded off a fantastic race weekend for Fischer by emulating her with second place in the Parallel Giant Slalom in Chamonix.
