Truppe Again World Class: Third in Kranjska Gora

The women alpine skiers’ World Cup race weekend in Kranjska Gora had a happy ending in store for Katharina Truppe (AUT). The young Carinthian from the Fischer Race Family, fifth after the first run on Sunday, produced an excellent performance in run 2 to finish third in the Slalom and so claim her second World Cup podium this season. Truppe was beaten only by the Slalom specialists Petra Vlhova (SVK) and Wendy Holdener (SUI). Her namesake and brand colleague Katharina Huber placed 16th.

Kriechmayr sixth in the Saalbach Downhill

In the men’s speed events in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, Fischer ace Vincent Kriechmayr proved his class yet again, finishing sixth in the Downhill and tenth in the Super G. However, anyone who knows the Upper Austrian will also know that he cannot be satisfied with that. “I was fast at the top and the bottom, but I didn’t ski the middle section so well,” admitted Kriechmayr in an interview after the Downhill.

Max Franz impressed again, with 11th place in the Super G, while in the Downhill, Fischer team racers Bryce Bennett (12th) and Matteo Marsaglia (19th) finished in the top 20.
