MARTIN KOCH FLIES TO VICTORY IN OBERSTDORF18.02.2012

Martin Koch (AUT, Fischer) celebrated his first season's victory in skiflying in Oberstdorf. The Austrian won ahead of Daiki Ito (JPN, Fischer) and Simon Ammann (SUI, Fischer).
Ten points ahead due to best flight of the day
Due to a great flight up to 221,5 metres the Carinthian secured victory ten points ahead of Daiki Ito who finished second followed by Simon Ammann. Fourth went to Robert Kranjec (SLO, Fischer) due to a 220 metre jump ahead of Roman Koudelka (CZE, Fischer) and Kamil Stoch (POL, Fischer). Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT, Fischer) came in only seventh. Lukas Hlava (CZE, Fischer) and Severin Freund (GER, Fischer) completed the top ten.
