Tired legs slowed him down
Following on from his good result in yesterday's Giant Slalom, Kostelić will now be leaving the World Cup location Adelboden feeling more than satisfied: "Everything has to fall into place to win a race. I could feel that my legs were a little tired today. Plus I was a little too careful in the lower section of the course to make sure I made it to the finish. But I'm very, very pleased with second place!" The Croatian will be travelling on to Wengen tomorrow so he can have a rest day the day after. This will be followed by preparations for the weekend when he will again be aiming for World Cup points in all races.
Good news from Bad Kleinkirchheim
The 20-year-old German Veronique Hronik caused a small sensation in Bad Kleinkirchheim. She put her heart into the race and burst into the top six with bib number 38. Brand colleague Niki Hosp (AUT) also showed that she is gradually going from strength to strength and was pleased with tenth place: "I have to work my way forward step-by-step. Today was one of these key moments for me!"
