FEATURED STORIESBLOGJEFF ANNETTS CLOSES HIS SEASON IN ALASKA01.05.2012|BY JEFF ANNETTS0Leaving at 3 am and returning at 1:30 am with a blown knee is not the most appealing way to bookend a ski trip, unless you trip included a helicopter, 4,000 foot faces, spines, cliffs, and powder. I spent the last 10 days in Haines Alaska for the trip of a lifetime, and Haines nor Seaba (the heli operation), disappointed. With me were Tim Swartz, Casey Wesley, and my brother Matt Annetts. The four of us made a great team pushing each other on every run, as well as the karaoke bar. A GEORGIA PEACH09.04.2012|BY SVEN BRUNSO2Last fall I sat on my deck with a world map searching for a new mountain range to ski that I had never been in my 20 year career. After a close look at some global topographical maps, I settled on the Caucus Mountains in The Republic of Georgia... FREERIDE IN INDIA06.04.2012|BY MELISSA PRESSLABER0FREERIDE IN INDIA It was February of this winter when Fischer Teamrider Mel Presslaber set sails, said good-bye to the Alps and flew to India… for Freeriding… JEFF ANNETTS: TRIP TO SILVERTON, CO29.03.2012|BY JEFF ANNETTS0Tyler Horne and I just got back from a Fischer team trip to Silverton Colorado. The drive from Jackson to Silverton is a ten and a half hour drive through the middle of nowhere, where it was normal to go without seeing a car or house for 30 minutes or more. The only thing we almost ran into was a flock of sheep... TYLER HORNE: SKI TRIP TO EUROPE28.03.2012|BY TYLER HORNE0This fall I was on a golfing trip in South Florida with a good friend Casey Wesley and the idea of a ski trip to Europe came up one day out on the links. As the winter was getting rolling in the US, looking at snow reports from France and Switzerland it was looking bleak it was early December and some resorts literally had no snow. BACKCOUNTRY IN CANADA27.03.2012|BY SVEN KUEENLE0Together with the Legs Of Steel boys Bene Mayr and Paddy Graham i left Europe to go shoot some backcountry in Canada. After a few deep days in Pemberton we went to Eagle Pass to get some heli time in. The skiing has been incredible. Watch out for the new movie coming out in fall 2012. FREESKI TEAM DAYS EUROPE29.02.2012|BY SANDRA LAHNSTEINER & BASTI HUBER1 FISCHER FREESKI TEAM DAYS EUROPE 2012 Thorough success: Powder, Cliffs & a real Secret Spot What could possibly go wrong during a Team Meeting in a winter like this year's, in a resort like that? Powder, cliffs and fun-times during the photo- and video-shootings in one of the last "secret-spots" in the Austrian alps - the Fischer Freeski Team Days exceeded all expectations. Mid January, the Team Managers called their riders to Salzburger Land, Austria. The gathering of the European Fischer Teams was set for Weisssee Gletscherwelt near Uttendorf and the mountain hotel Rudolfshütte served as base during that time. The Rudolfshütte allowed the riders to sleep at 2300m, surrounded by the snowfields of the great resort. As Fischer has been focused heavily on freeriding over the past few seasons, but since the start of this season they have developed a team of young and auspicious freestylers! This diverse mix of European riders were even joined by a friendly kiwi, as Freeride World Tour rider Neil Williman from New Zealand dropped in to join the crew. FREERIDE WORLD TOUR UPDATE BY NEIL WILLIMAN09.02.2012|BY NEIL WILLIMAN (SL)0New Zealand pro skier Neil Williman qualified with top results in the Freeride World Qualifier Series 2011/12 for the Freeride World Tour 2012. Unfortunately Neil couldn't really show up in the first stops of the FWT and is dissappointed of his performance so far. Competing in Chamonix - Mont Blanc (France) and Courmayeur (Italy) he had on top to deal with a back injury...
