Just one year before the World Championships in Swedish Falun Severin Freund (GER, Fischer) celebrated an outstanding victory. Noriaki Kasai (JPN, Fischer) came in third despite knee problems.
Successful test event
Severin Freund can be very satisfied with his performance just one year before the Nordic Ski World Championships in Falun. The Olympic Champion in team event showed two long jumps at 133 and 135 metres on rebuilt large hill and was nearly 16 points ahead of spot two. Noriaki Kasai couldn't be that happy about his podium finish after jumps at 133 and 130.5 metres: The vice Olympic Champion on large hill caught his right knee after landing his first jump and hobbled off the outrun. He also participated in the final round but after his landing he was visibly suffered with pain. Kamil Stoch (POL, Fischer) increased in the final from 13 to four with jumping great 134.5 metres. Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer) finished fifth ahead of Anders Bardal (NOR, Fischer). Eighth went to Simon Ammann (SUI, Fischer) followed by Lauri Asikainen (FIN, Fischer) and Maciej Kot (POL, Fischer).
