German men's biathlon relay team also World Champion
Erik Lesser (GER), Daniel Böhm (GER, Fischer skis and boots), Arnd Peiffer (GER, Fischer) and Simon Schempp (GER) secured the World Championship title in men's relay of biathlon WCH in Kontiolahti (FIN). Silver was won by Norway composed of Ole Einar Bjørndalen (NOR), Tarjei and his brother Johannes Thingnes Bø (both NOR, Fischer skis and boots) and Emil Svendsen (NOR) ahead of France represented by Simon Fourcade (FRA, Fischer skis and boots), Jean Guillaume Beatrix (FRA), Quentin Fillon Maillet (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) and Martin Fourcade (FRA).
