Johannes Rydzek (GER)

Johannes Rydzek (GER, Fischer skis and boots), Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) and Björn Kircheisen (GER, Fischer skis and boots) claimed a three-fold victory for Fischer at the Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix in Oberwiesenthal (GER).
Eric Frenzel was in the lead after the jump and thus started into the 10 km roller ski race on home turf with an advantage of 2 seconds. At the finish his teammate Johannes Rydzek won by the margin of 3.7 seconds ahead of Frenzel. Just shortly behind Björn Kircheisen secured third place and thus completed the German podium with Fischer. „It was our plan to have the German train going at the front of the race. I was the strongest in the end but a German triple victory in front of the home crowd is just amazing,“ jubilated the happy winner Johannes Rydzek.

The further Fischer athletes amoung the top ten: Tomas Portyk (CZE, skis and boots, 6th place), Marjan Jelenko (SLO, Fischer, 7th), Jan Schmid (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles, 8th) and Samuel Costa (ITA, Fischer skis and boots, 10th.).
