ANDREAS STJERNEN (NOR) CLAIMS VICTORY AT THE SGP IN COURCHEVEL (FRA)
Andreas Stjernen (NOR, Fischer) claimed victory at the Ski Jumping Summer Grand Prix in Courchevel ahead of his teammate Phillip Sjoen (NOR). Third place was taken by Kamil Stoch (POL, Fischer).
For Andreas Stjernen todays victory was his first big international success, thus he was extremely happy: „We have been training here for two days and my jumps were getting better and better. It is my first victory in a Summer Grand Prix and also on this level – it is just awesome.“
Kamil Stoch was likewise happy about his third place: „A few days ago I didn't even know if I would start in this competition because of a muscle injury. But my leg felt okay today and so I could compete. My jumps were pretty good and I'm really satisfied.“
Michael Hayböck (AUT, Fischer), in second place after the first round, finished in fifth place. His teammate Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer) achieved seventh place. Roman Koudelka (CZE, Fischer) and Daniel-Andre Tande (NOR, Fischer) in ninth and tenth place likewise made the top ten.
