In Hakuba (JPN) Daniel-Andre Tande (NOR, Fischer) made the podium in a Summer Grand Prix for the first time. The 20 years old Norwegian finished in third place behind Phillip Sjoeen (NOR) and Jernej Damjan (SLO).
„I'm extremely happy,“ said the successful third-placed. „ Jumping on this hill is a lot of fun because the flying is important.“

The longest jump of the day was shown by Taku Takeuchi with 132.5 m in the first round. The Japanese thus ensured fourth place ahead of Michael Neumayer (GER). With Shohei Tochimoto (JPN, Fischer), Simon Ammann (SUI, Fischer) and Noriaki Kasaia (JPN, Fischer) further three Fischer eagles made the top ten.
